Shoot Academy Farnborough is a charity set up by it's founder Mark McGowan. Mark is married to Jo and has 3 children Amelia, Ella & Caleb. Mark was born with the fibula missing at birth so had both legs amputated. He was never given the opportunity to participate in sports and so has a real passion to encourage young people to fulfil their potential. Mark worked at Broadmoor hospital for 9 years before taking up the role of Youth Pastor at a local church. He soon found a heart for community and so when in 2018 he was made redundant set up the charity. Mark is now a part time LSA at a local college and runs the charity on a part time basis he is also a FA level 2 football coach, level 1 goalkeeper coach. He has is also Pastoral lead for disabled sport in England.
The charity is a Christian based charity and Mark & his family are members of Kerith community church. Shoot have 4 trustees Paul Bland (Chair & Treasurer) , Chris Nyamunga, James Hopkin & Jo Phillips.
